Market Street Elementary Families and Friends,
As the new Principal of Market Street Elementary School, it is an honor to become part of such an outstanding district. I am looking forward to carrying on many great traditions at Market Street Elementary along with starting some new ones.
During the past few weeks, I have had many conversations with parents, teachers and students. From these conversations, it is apparent how strong the partnership is between the families and the school. I look forward to fostering these relationships and working with the teachers and staff to provide the best educational experience for each child.
Market Street Elementary will be implementing a PBIS system (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support System) that will reinforce good behavior. Our PBIS system is district wide and incorporates and encourages students to Show Their Shield. The word shield stands for support, honesty, involvement, excellence, love, and determination. This moto is reinforced daily within the classrooms and throughout the school. Students will earn rewards for showing their shield.
I am looking forward to working with all the students and families throughout the year to make it a successful one!
