Boardman Local Schools has earned its fifth consecutive Excellent rating from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). All 26 indicators (100%) met the mandated passage rate established by ODE. All seven buildings have also achieved an Excellent rating for the first time since Local Report Cards have been established.

Grade levels and content areas that have shown increased achievement include:

· Grade 3 Math

· Grade 4 Reading and Math

· Grade 6 Math

· Grade 7 Math

· Grade 8 Reading, Math and Science

· Grade 10 Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies

· Attendance and graduation rate have also increased.

The Performance Index, which reflects the achievement of every student enrolled for the full academic year, has increased to 103.3 which is the highest in the school district’s history. At the district level, all nine federally identified sub-groups met the Adequate Yearly Progress targets which had been raised this year. The Value Added metric, which represents the progress students make from one year to the next, was met at expected growth. Statewide, Boardman Schools ranks at the top of our comparison group of similar districts as identified by the Ohio Department of Education. This year’s Local Report Card reflects the strongest achievement data Boardman Schools has ever had. It is our goal to continue to provide an outstanding educational experience to every student who is a part of the Boardman community.
