Little Spartans Learn Important Lessons at Safety Village

Learning the rules of the road.

Nearly 140 incoming Kindergarten students will experience  Safety Village on Thursday, August 10.  This  fun hands-on event will be held in the parking lot of Glenwood Jr. High.  It allows our newest Spartans to interact with Boardman safety forces and learn valuable lessons as they get ready to start school in just a few weeks.

Groups of students will participate in stations  from 9AM until Noon that include crafts and lessons on bus and fire safety.  A 9 building “Safety Village” that was constructed by  Boardman High School Students will once again be erected in the Glenwood parking lot  to run the kids through bike safety lessons, and the rules of the road.  The Boardman Fire Department Smokehouse, a Fire Truck, and  School Busses will be there for the kids to experience all the safety rules and to learn to make smart and safe decisions.
