GLENWOOD JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS PERFORM IN DISTRICT 5 HONORS BAND

glenwood students honors band

A group of nine young musicians from Boardman Glenwood Junior High were selected to perform in the District 5 Middle School Honors Band Concert  at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown on Saturday, November 18.  They were among approximately 120 young musicians from a tri-county area.  The Middle School Honors Band was conducted by renowned retired band director Mr. Thomas Brucoli.

Band Directors from middle schools in District 5 (Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties) nominate students for the District Honors Band, and then a committee chooses the musicians based on the instrumentation needed.

Special recognition goes to 7th grader Anna Shevock, principal chair flute/piccolo and 8th grader Vivien Smith, principal chair horn.
