Service Learning

At Boardman Center Middle School, we believe in helping the community. We offer many Service Learning Opportunities to meet your requirements:

  • Donate your inactive cell phones – Help the environment! Bring phones to your Social Studies Teacher.

  • Donate your old eye glasses – In partnership with the Boardman Lions Club, a service organization that supports several programs at Boardman Center Middle School. Bring glasses to your Social Studies Teacher.

  • Donate unused shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc. that you might find during any hotel stay. This collection is in support of Homeless Solutions.

  • Participate in the aluminum beverage can drive – In cooperation with the Mahoning County Green Team, dates will be given later.

  • Donate old inkjet cartridges – In an effort to help the environment, Mrs. Riser (8th grade Science teacher) started this recycling drive several years ago and has raised money to help defray costs in the TEC Center.

  • Donate a new toy for the Marines “Toys for Tots” program – Beginning in early November   and ending in early December, students can donate toys that will be given away to those children and their families in need from Mahoning Valley. Donations can be dropped off near the main office under our BCMS Holiday Tree.

  • Donate old batteries to be recycled – Help the Environment!  Take batteries to your Social Studies Teacher.

  • Participate in the Can Food Drive – Donate 5 cans of non-perishable food items to school in October to help those who can not afford a good meal.

  • Donate to Beatitude House – Donate personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and paper products to the Beatitude House to help abused and/or neglected women and children.

  • Participate in the Blood Drive for the American Red Cross –
