This year we participated in two fabulous online projects. Please visit both of them to see what other students have done.

Leaf Man, Leaf Man, What Do You See?
Online Project
When October began, we started to read books and watch videos about fall. We began a list of things that happen in the fall on our SMART Board. We added to the list just about every day. When we had a long list, we each picked one thing that happened in the fall and illustrated it. Watch the PhotoStory we created.
Our very first fall project, however, was writing fall senses poems. You can read those by clicking here.
One of the books we read was Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert.
It inspired us to make our own leaf creations with the help of our art teacher, Mrs. Szoke. Then we had to write about our creations. We think our creations are AWESOME! Since we were going to write a story like Leaf Man, we picked one of the creations, Egan's, to be our Leaf Man, actually our Leaf Kid. We talked about our community, Boardman, and why someone might come to live here. We came up with a list of important places in Boardman. We kept Mrs. Golubic busy traveling around Boardman taking pictures with Leaf Kid. We even had to give her directions to Bounce-A-Round!
Take a look at our story about the adventures of Leaf Kid in Boardman.
Here is another great fall project. We learned a poem called Pumpkin, by an unknown poet. Watch and listen to us recite the poem by clicking on the pumpkin.
