Boardman School Board Approves Land Transfer To Pave the Way for Stormwater Park School board members with Superintendent  Tim Saxton and Treasurer Armstrong

At a special joint meeting September 14, Boardman's School Board voted to transfer approximately 14.6 acres of land along Market Street to the ABC Water and Wastewater Authority.  It's a joint venture to create the Forest Lawn Stormwater Park.

The $3 Million dollar project will take two years to complete, and will include walking trails, pollinator gardens, and wildflower meadows.  Most importantly, it will alleviate flooding to some 1400 homes in the area. 

Mask Policy Upgraded to Start School Year Safely mask policy update

Masks will be required indoors for all staff and students during the school day starting on August 30th.

In addition to keeping students and staff safe, requiring masks greatly reduces the number of quarantines and allows students to stay in school to learn.

Center Students Present Special Photo to Fire Station #71 firefighters holding print presented by students

Nine students from BCIS presented Fire Station #71 with a special gift in honor of Patriot Day.  A framed print, entitled "Walk of Courage" will now hang in the training room at Station #71.

Elementary Band Show 2021 students in the stands for the band show 2021

The Boardman Spartan Marching Band performed a special show on September 14 for all K-4th graders at Spartan Stadium.  It's a Spartan tradition to introduce students to the band and it allows all of our youngest Spartans the opportunity to see the band, and learn about each section.  Many future "banders" are in this audience!

The traditional Patriot Day Tree Planting was held at Stadium Drive Elementary on Friday, September 10th.  The BHS Pep Band played, and Police and Fire officials talked with students, and the students thanked them for all they do.  Blasco Commercial Services donated a crimson king maple that was planted afterward.

BHS Welcomes Principal Mark Zura Principal Mark Zura

Boardman welcomes new Boardman High School Principal Mark Zura to begin the 2021-22 school year. He will replace principal Cindy Fernback, who retired June 30 after 33 years in education.  

Zura has more than 20 years of eductional experience, half of which was spent at Boardman.

Important Food Service News: Supply Chain Shortages May Alter Menus hot lunch with macaroni and cheese and brocoli

School  Food Service departments across the country are starting to experience food supply chain issues. Some items like buns, salad mixes, syrup french toast are among the latest challenges for our food service department to receive.  

Boardman's Food Services is commited to providing delicious hot meals to our students.  Please know that menus are subject to change, and that we will do our best to get as "close as possible" substitutes for items that are unavailable. 

We appreciate your patience and understanding!  We look forward to serving all of our students free breakfast and lunch this school year!


Center Intermediate Welcomes Principal Michael Masucci Principal Michael Masucci

Boardman welcomes new Center Intermediate Principal Michael Masucci to begin the 2021-22 school year!  He will replace longtime principal Randy Ebie, who retired June 30, after 34 years of dedicated service at BCIS. 

Mr. Masucci comes to boardman with 27 years of experience in education, as a teacher and administrator.
