BHS own Rock Orchestra--Project Mayhem--will rock Spartan Stadium on Friday, June 3 at 8 PM.  Tickets are $10 and on sale now at the High School's Main Entrance (security office) during school hours. 

Fans can spread out blankets and sit on the field, or enjoy the two hour show from the stands. This family event will be 60% new music from the indoor Mayhem show in March. Don't Miss it!!

Beginning in the 2022-23 school year, biometric finger scanners will be used in K-8 buildings to make the lunch line move faster and allow students more time to eat.

Spartan Ball Players Put Construction Skills to Work baseball players in woods class make bat cubby

Five Spartan baseball players know how to work together to get a job done--on the field, or in woods class.  

The baseball boosters needed a new bat/helmet organizer for the home dugout.  Woods teacher Marvin Aeschbacher worked with the boys in Woods 2 and 3, to build and paint it. 

Glenwood Students Earn Superior and Excellent Ratings at OMEA Competition ohio music education associatin logo

Many of our Boardman Glenwood Junior High School band and orchestra students participated in the Ohio Music Education Association’s annual solo and ensemble competition held at Struthers High School in Struthers, Ohio Saturday, April 9. 

Students prepared and performed solos and small ensembles.  The following students earned the Superior "1" rating and Excellent "2" rating:

The public is always welcome to enjoy the musical talents of our Spartan students! All concerts are held in the Boardman Performing Arts Center with donations at the door.  Senior citizens are admitted for free.

The Boardman HS Band Concert  is Wednesday, April 27, at 7 PM.

The BHS Choir Concert  is Wednesday, May 4, at  7 PM.

The BHS Orchestra Concert is Wednesday, May 18 at 7 PM.

BHS Students Create Non-Profit for Student Led Tutoring and Support Superintendent Saxton, Vincent Dong and Austin Ward

Spartan Proud of BHS juniors Vincent Dong and Austin Ward.  They presented to Valley school  superintendents on October 13 at the ESC of Eastern Ohio.  They founded "Cognitia" -- a student lead national non-profit --  to supply free tutoring and educational support to students K-12.

BCIS Students' Artwork Displayed in Trumbull Gallery Show student art and drawings on a gallery wall


 BCIS student  artwork was selected to be displayed in a month-long show at the Trumbull Art Gallery in Warren featuring k-8 artwork from across the Valley. Center Intermediate Art Teacher Kate Sears says at least 18 pieces of art were displayed at the TAG Gallery in March.  "It was so exciting for these 4th through 6th graders to invite their families and friends for an ‘opening night’ at the gallery on March 4," she said.

BCIS 5th grader, SkyleeShay Gline, is one of five winners in the first-ever "Earth Day Billboard Contest" sponsored by the Mahoning County Green Team.

The Green Team invited students in grades 4 through 8 to submit posters about litter prevention or promoting the 3 R's...(Reduce, Reuse, Recyle)

Her Billboard is located at the intersection of State Route 46 and Willow Creek in Austintown, and will be displayed until May 6.

National Honor Society Induction 2022 National Honor Society Logo

Boardman High School held its National Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, March 30.  A total of 58 juniors and 6 seniors were inducted. 

The four pillars of National Honor Society are Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character.  We congratulate these young ladies and gentlemen on their selection to this well-repected honor society.

BHS Senior's Sculpture Selected for Prestigious Governor's Art Show Anna Zheng with her sculpture made of cardboard called 'Dim Sum'

BHS senior Anna Zheng's sculpture, titled 'Dim Sum' will be among a very select group displayed in the prestigious Governors Art Show in April.  More than 8,000 pieces of student art from high schools across Ohio were submitted, and Anna's was selected in the top 300 chosen to be featured in the show.

The first day of school for students will be August 29, 2022, and the final day of classes will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023--Commencement is Sunday, June 4, 2023.

What better way to say "congratulations" than a yummy breakfast served by your principal, administrators and school board members...

The Honors Breakfast is a tradition at BHS and this year, more than 500 students earned a 3.5 GPA  or higher for this entire school year. Also, the Class of 2022 "First In Class" were recognized at the head table. These seniors have a 4.0 for their entire high school career, and met other challenging curriculum requirements for this honor.

Congratulations to All.. and special thanks to cafeteria staff and Supervisor Natalie Winkle for the yummy french toast, bacon and baked apples and blueberries!

FREE BOOKS FOR CHILDREN BIRTH TO FIVE Ohio Governors Imagination Library a child reading a book graphic

Reading aloud to children and giving them access to books is the best way to ensure they are prepared to enter kindergarten. The Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library mails young children one book each month until their 5th birthday. The program is available to all children in Ohio from birth to age 5 at no cost to their families.

Parents and caregivers can enroll their children at
