KEY CLUB: Key Club is running a campaign called HEALTH for HYGIENE.  The club members will be collecting items for the local homeless.  These items include but are not limited to shampoo, conditioner, hair combs and brushes, soap, toothbrushes, recycled plastic bags, feminine hygiene products, new socks, shaving razors in a package, shaving cream.  Look on our flyers for more items.  When you bring in an item, your name will be placed on a heart that will go on the heart wall of fame.  The plastic recycled bags will be made into bed mats. Thank You for your support.

GUIDANCE: ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! Are you interested in learning more about different careers? BHS will begin a new program called “Lunch and Learn” during 4th period.  Swing by the Guidance Office and sign up for the sessions you are interested in attending.  You can bring your lunch and learn about a potential career!  Our first session is Monday, February 11 A, B and C with Colonel Joe Paydock and the YSU ROTC program.

It’s almost time for this year’s Mr. Spartan Competition.  This year we have 9 juniors competing for the Mr. Spartan Crown.  It will be held Wednesday, February 13th at 7pm in the BPAC.  Admission is $5 at the door.  Come watch these contestants perform a talent, show their spirit, dance with teachers and name their fellow Spartans. Here is the lineup for the always entertaining dance with teacher segment: Mitchel Dunham will be dancing with Mr. Sypert, Peter Fernandez with Mr. Shurtleff, River Flatley with Mr. DeAngelo, Jimmy Goske with Mr. Zetts, Mason Melia with Mr. Pallini, Connor Miller with Mr. Liste, George Morar with Ms. Moran, Angel Perez with Mr. Simione and Chase Picino with Mrs. Amero. Mark your calenders for Wednesday, February 13th and come enjoy the show at 7pm here in the BPAC.

BOYS TRACK:  Boys track meeting for the outdoor season will be on Tuesday, February 19th during 7th period and after school in room 246. Any questions see Coach Phillips.

N.A.H.S.: National Art Honor Society will have a lunch meeting this Friday.  Bring your lunch and mural Sketches to Mrs. Burnsides room. See her with any questions.

COUNSELING OFFICE: ATTN ALL STUDENTS:  Any student interested in modeling at the Southern Park Mall should see Mrs. Craig-Yardas or Mrs, Crilley in the counseling office.  The deadline to sign up is Monday, March 4.

FRENCH CLUB: ATTENTION STUDENTS & FACULTY: The French club will be having its annual Valentine’s Day flower sale during all lunches outside the cafeteria. The cost is $1.25. Buy a carnation for your honey or even a friend.  Oooh La La!

GIRLS TRACK: There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Feb 19th for girl’s outdoor track. One meeting will be at 2:00pm and a second will be at 3:00pm.  Any interested girl needs to attend one meeting in room 353.  Please make sure your physical is up to date.  See Coach Sypert with any questions.

YEARBOOK: ATTENTION SENIORS: If you haven’t submitted your baby pictures and senior quotes for the yearbook,   you still have time.  The deadline is Thursday, February 14th.  Any questions or forms needed, see either Mrs. Pendleton in room 111 or Mrs. Kephart in room 241.
