Dear Students, Staff, and Families, Bitmoji Image

I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to be BCIS’s new Principal.  Our school is a very special place and one that has experienced a lot of changes in recent years.  Changes can be challenging.  However, they can also bring with them opportunities.  This is going to be my approach as the upcoming school year unfolds.  I am always ready to move forward and hope you are, too.

My primary goal heading into the new school year is to provide all students, staff, and families with a warm, friendly environment where they feel welcomed and appreciated.  Your children’s resiliency and the devotion of Boardman Center Intermediate School’s staff and PTA will lead to a very successful school year.  Let’s move forward together.  We truly have the chance to create something magical!

One of the many keys to the start of a successful year is the establishment of rules and solid routines. This is just as important at home as it is at school.  If school is important to you, it will be important to your child.  Take an active role.  Show interest by asking questions about your child’s day, assignments, and friends.  Be sure to always check for important papers and homework assignments.  Communicate with your child’s teacher and please do not hesitate to call or email him/her after school.  Keep your eyes and ears on our building’s website, too.  Many of your questions may be answered by checking it.

BCIS’s devoted PTA will also play a vital role in the overall success of our building.  It will provide students with a wide spectrum of events and opportunities throughout the year.  In short, it will take care of the “little extras” that truly make a school year memorable. This year's Officers and I will encourage our PTA members to contribute some of the time they do have and help make our building an even better place.

The start of the 2021-2022 school year will be here before we know it.  Enjoy the remaining summer days.  They will pass by quickly.

Go Spartans!
