Public Input Requested Regarding State Testing

The Ohio Senate moved closer to granting more flexibility to local schools Tuesday, March 24th, while also launching a website to solicit public feedback for its new testing review.

Sen. Peggy Lehner (R-Kettering), chairwoman of both the Senate Education Committee and Senate Advisory Committee on Testing, said http://sact.ohiosenate.gov is now online and ready to take public suggestions on how Ohio should address the controversial topic of educational assessments.

Frank Lazzeri, Superintendent of the Boardman Schools, encourages residents to comment on this important issue that affects all public school children before the comment period closes.
