Friday's Basketball Game with Fitch a VERY BIG NIGHT

Boardman boys varsity basketball team

February 23 the Spartans basketball team will play host to Austintown Fitch in the last home game of the season.   There are many special events happening at this game.  First, SENIOR NIGHT: the senior basketball players and cheerleaders will be introduced after the JV contest.  The JV game has been moved up to 5:15 p.m. and senior introductions will begin around 6:20 p.m.  The reason we are making that adjustment is that our game is being telecast live by WKBN as the Game of the Week.  The varsity game must start at 7:00 p.m. due to the live broadcast.

This game is also designated as ELEMENTARY NIGHT.  Any Boardman elementary student receives free admission into the game but must be accompanied by a parent.  The parent price for their ticket is $6.00.  At halftime, there will be a shooting contest organized by the physical education teachers from each elementary school.

And Corey Linsley, an outstanding three-sport athlete from Boardman and now the center of the Green Bay Packers will be in attendance.  Corey will be honored before the start of the game and is willing to sign autographs.  If you have any Packer attire, please wear it or bring it with you if you want his autograph.

Let’s pack the house  for the senior players and cheerleaders and to recognize Corey for his professional football accomplishments.
