The Boardman High School Drama Guild is presenting a modern adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Performing Arts Center Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 7-9. Curtain time is 7 PM.
“If you think Shakespeare is too stuffy, you are wrong,” said Director Tyler Moliterno. The 26 year old Spartan graduate who once played Peter Pan on the BPAC stage, says his experience with this play in college opened the door to a creative and fun adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream. “The characters’ exchanges and banter still hold today, and it really is a funny show,” said Moliterno.
The cast and crew of more than 30 students has been working for weeks. They will be dressed in modern day versions of their characters, but the language will be all Shakespeare.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door, or online @BoardmanPerfomingArtCenter.com or by calling 330-259-7150.
