Boardman Glenwood Junior High students welcomed Warren native and former NFL running back  Dan “Boom” Herron to the school on March 27.   It’s part of Boardman's “Grand Prize Win” in the NFL’s Fuel Up to Play 60 Program.

The Fuel Up to Play 60 Club is new at Glenwood this year.  It’s all part of the NFL's in school campaign with the National Dairy Council  to encourage fitness and healthy eating and life choices.

Last Fall, Glenwood submitted a video of our students playing flag football to the NFL’s Fuel Up to Play 60 program.  Boardman was a grand prize winner--one of only 6 schools in the nation that will have an NFL player visit.

Boom Herron graduated from Warren G. Harding and played for The Ohio State University.  He has played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills.
