Beginning Monday, September 14, all meals served to Boardman students are Free of Charge. The USDA has signed an extension of the School Nutrition Waiver until December 31, 2020, or until USDA funds are depleted. Free meals include school breakfasts and lunches, but not ala carte items.
Students do not need to be eligible for free or reduced lunch to receive these meals. However, families are encouraged to apply for Free and Reduced, since other Federal funding is tied to the school nutrition program, and if the USDA abruptly stops the waiver program, families will be left without benefit.
