GLENWOOD XC RUNNER D'ALTORIO CLAIMS #2 SPOT AT STATE

Boardman Glenwood Junior High cross country  stand-out David D’Altorio claimed the 2nd spot in the state in the  Division 1 Cross Country Middle School Championship in Columbus on October 25.   D'Altorio competed against 215 runners from across the state to finish as State runner up in the D1 race.

 

This caps an outstanding season for D'Altorio, who came in first place in all 10 Mahoning Valley races he competed in this year.  In addition to being crowned Mahoning County Champion, Mahoning Valley XC Series Champion and AAC Conference Champ, he came in first and set a new meet record at the Columbiana Clipper Invitational.  At a time of 10:01, he broke the Clipper Meet record that stood for 10 years by more than 20 seconds.
