For the first time in its 14 year history, Boardman’s Rock Orchestra, Project Mayhem, will perform on a stage in Spartan Stadium with the expected crowd to be its biggest show ever.
Tickets go on sale to the public today for an outdoor Mayhem Concert set for Saturday, May 22 at 7:30 PM. There will be seating in the home stands and blanket-only lawn seats on the field. There is no limit to the number of tickets you may purchase. However, due to COVID, groups at the concert may not exceed 10 people. (All groups must maintain proper social distancing)
“Traditionally, we sell out the Boardman Performing Arts Center’s 1650 seats for this event,” said Mayhem Music Director Bill Amendol. “Taking it outside and abiding by COVID restrictions, we can have as many as 2,200 there this year. We are so excited to take Mayhem to this level!”
The 2-hour event combines the talents of the Boardman Orchestra with vocals by amazing Boardman students in a ‘Trans-Siberian’ style performance. “This electrically charged show will rock Spartan Stadium,” said Amendol.
Tickets are $10 general admission. As promised, we will honor tickets purchased for last year’s Boardman show that was canceled by COVID. With that in mind, there are approximately 1,300 tickets currently available for sale.
The public may purchase tickets at Boardman High School at the main front entrance on any school day between 8 AM and 2:30 PM.
Rain date for Mayhem is Sunday, May 23.
