LEGACY

FUNDING A SCHOLARSHIP OR A BEQUEST?

The cost of tuition is one of the most basic requirements for pursuing higher education. Scholarships enable deserving students to achieve their eduational objectives as well as their career objectives and full potential.

The Boardman Local Schools offers the opportunity to establish a scholarship through our Treasurer's Office.

Prior to contacting the Treasurer's Office, the following items must be addressed:

  • Decide the criteria of the scholarship application
  • Decide which students you would like to support
  • Determine how your scholarship will be funded
  • Determine who you would like to determine the winners

ESTATE PLANNING

If you have fond memories of your time as a Boardman Spartan and would like to support your alma mater, please consider leaving a portion of your estate to the Boardman School's general fund or a particular department so that future generations may benefit.

There are several different ways to leave money to the Boardman Local School District:

  • Leave a specific monetary bequest in your will
  • Leave a specific property bequest in your will
  • Leave a percent of your residuary estate in your will
  • Create a charitable remainder trust that names your school as the beneficiary
  • Name the school as the beneficiary of our retirement account

If you need additional information or have questions, or if you have already reached this important decision, please contact Treasurer A.J.Ginnetti   A.Ginnetti@Boardmanschools.org
