Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! We are so excited to be back in the buildings and welcoming all of our spartans for the start of an amazing year ahead.
Our students and staff will begin the year with nearly a million dollar investment in new curriculum. Now in the second year of 1:1 technology in the district, our Spartans are fully able to take advantage of software that builds and expands on their new textbooks.
Federal ESSER dollars and state grants have also aided our ability to make major building improvements to ensure the health and well being of our students and staff.
Building and Safety improvements made over the summer include newly installed classroom door baricade devices, upgraded and additional cameras, and LED lighting to illuminate our school grounds, parking lots and stadium area.
Our staff has installed more than 500 classroom phones with direct lines for better communiction between teachers and parents, but also to serve as direct lines to safety forces in case of emergency.
Now entering my 21st year serving the Boardman Schools, and my 7th year as Superintendent, I am grateful for the community partnerships and support that enable us to continue our long tradition of excellence. Our students enjoy many hands-on experiences inside and outside the classroom, career development opportunities, and arts and athletic adventures. Our Spartan families, PTA groups, and community volunteers never hesitate when there's a need.
We are emerging from several years of pandemic challenges, and I believe we are stronger than ever before. Let us continue to follow our mission: Together, We Transform Lives through Academics, Athletics and the Arts!
