BHS Senior is Awarded J.L. Francis Scholarship

Boardman High School senior, Austin Ward is among a select group of graduating seniors from Mahoning County to be awarded a $1,000 J.L. Francis Scholarship at a special breakfast ceremony at the ESC of Eastern Ohio on May 12.
Twenty-two students, one from each public high school in Mahoning County, as well as 2 private schools and Choffin Career Center were awarded. The recipients excelled in academics and also demonstrated a commitment to their schools and communities through volunteer service and involvement during their high school years.
Austin has also earned "First In Class" honors at BHS and he plans on studying Finance at Georgetown University in the Fall.
