Boardman Drama Guild Proudly Presents Mean Girls: The Musical

The Boardman Drama Guild is excited to bring the hit Broadway production Mean Girls: The Musical to the Boardman Performing Arts Center this spring. Performances will take place Thursday through Saturday, March 5, 6, and 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardman Performing Arts Center.

Based on Tina Fey’s iconic 2004 film, Mean Girls follows Cady Heron, who may have grown up on an African savanna, but is completely unprepared for the social jungle of suburban high school. As she navigates her new world, Cady becomes entangled with “The Plastics,” a trio of popular frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. When Cady and her friends plot a “Revenge Party” to take down Regina’s reign, she quickly learns that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.

Nominated for an impressive 12 Tony Awards, Mean Girls: The Musical took Broadway by storm and has since become a favorite among modern musical theatre audiences. Boardman’s production features a talented cast and crew of students who have been working for months to bring the humor, heart, and high-energy music of this show to life.
