Spartans Celebrate Our Veterans

Boardman Schools are honoring local veterans with special events across all six buildings this November.

Stadium Drive Elementary kicks things off Friday, Nov. 7 at 8:30 AM with its annual Veterans Breakfast and schoolwide “clap out.”

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, five more schools will hold programs to honor our heroes:

• Glenwood Junior High — Veterans Day Assembly at 9 AM, featuring the White Table Ceremony and guest speakers: YSU President Bill Johnson, Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro, and Boardman parent and US Army Veteran Arielle McNutt. Refreshments afterward.  

• Robinwood Elementary — 3rd Grade Patriotic Concert at 9 AM.

• West Boulevard Elementary — Veterans Luncheon at 11 AM - 12:45 PM.

• Center Intermediate — “Lunch with a Veteran” from 11:20 AM–1:20 PM in the gym.

• Boardman High School — Veterans Lunch at 10:15- 11:30 AM, catered by Mission BBQ.

“These events are some of the most heartfelt moments of our school year,” said Superintendent Chris Neifer. “They give our students a real opportunity to connect with local heroes and to show gratitude to those who have served our country.”
