PSA from the GSA! The GSA will be holding its first meeting today in room 215 after school until 4:00pm. Please bring your $5 dues.
Quiz Bowl: If you are interested in trying out for the Quiz Bowl team this year, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday, October 10 after school in room 203.
Yearbooks: Attention all students and staff: The 2019 yearbooks can be picked up throughout the week during all lunches at the Spartan Armory located in the main hallway just outside the cafeteria.
Emerging Leaders: Emerging Leaders are collecting packs of diapers to donate to Mina’s Foster Closet. Please bring in a pack of any size baby diapers to Room 243. Everyone who donated will receive a card for a free Chick-fil-a sandwich. Bring donations by October 10th.
Blood Drive: The BHS Student Council & Red Cross will host a blood drive here at BHS on Wednesday, October 16th. Forms for donations are available in the main office, in Room 156 or from any English teacher.
PSAT Test: The PSAT Test will be administered on Saturday, October 19. Juniors interested in taking the PSAT Test for the National Merit Scholarship should now register in the Guidance Office. Sophomores may also register for this test but cannot qualify for the National Merit Scholarship competition. However, this test serves as a great practice test for the SAT. Cost of the test is $20.00 cash or check payable to Boardman High School and due at registration. Deadline to register for this test is Thursday, October 17th.
Attention All Italian Club members: The Italian Club Halloween event will be held Thursday, October 24th, in the BHS cafeteria. We will be painting mini canvases with easels. There will be hot dogs, donuts, and cider for refreshments. Please pay $3 in your Italian class to reserve your spot.
Attention Key Club Members: If you are planning to work the Haunted Hayride, please sign up for the station you plan on working and the day.
You are allowed to work ALL weekends!!
Gentlemen’s Corner: Attention Spartans! This school year we are introducing ‘Gentleman’s Corner’. A location where young men in need of dress and casual clothes for school functions, dress up days for sports teams, banquets, dances, graduation and more can acquire the needed apparel.
If you would like to donate gently used items such as shirts, pants, ties, suits, shoes, etc. please drop the items off to either Mr. Phillips in room 246, Mrs. Matey in room 251, or Mr. Gabriel in room 232.
Students that would like to visit ‘Gentlemen’s Corner’ can see Mr. Phillips, Mrs. Matey, Mr. Gabriel or any guidance counselor.
