2019 BGJHS Greek Olympics Day

Greek Olympics Winners

The Seventh Grade Greek Olympics is an  annual event that took place on Friday, October 18, 2019 at BGJHS. It included all seventh grade students and teachers. Mr. Cordon is in charge of the events and works very hard to make sure everyone is included. To do this, he provides a vast range of options of games varying from a football throw to a Math 24 game. This allows all kids to feel included whether they are into sports or enjoy educational options more. When asking Mr. Cordon what made him come up with this idea he told us, “We wanted to make history come alive. We wanted to connect with kids and make it relevant. The Olympic Games is a way to connect with kids and to teach important things like sportsmanship and camaraderie.” For each of the eight years Mr. Cordon has been doing this the students and staff have really enjoyed it, and that’s why he has done it for this long and will continue to do it for years to come.  The results for the 2019 BGJHS Greek Olympics are the following:
