The Boardman High School Soccer Programs swept the top honors for Division I in both Boys and Girls Soccer at the Youngstown District Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association's selections recently.

Senior Tommy Fryda was voted the Division I - District Player of the Year for Boys Soccer while Senior Isabella Alvarico was selected the Division I District Player of the Year for Girls Soccer. Both will now receive All-State consideration by the State Coaches Association.

Likewise, the Spartans received District Coach of the Year honors for Division I on both the Boys and Girls sides of the sport. Eric Simione, Boys Team Coach, was selected as Coach of the Year in back to back seasons and for a 4th time in his tenure while first year coach of the Girls Team, Mark D'Eramo, was voted Coach of the Year for the 2019 season.

Both teams received Team Academic Honors for having a team grade point average above a 3.0; the Boys Team carries a 3.6 GPA while the Girls Team holds a 3.8 GPA.
