DUNHAM AND BERO HEAD TO STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET

Mitchel Dunham and Frank Bero with congrats basket as they head to State Meet

Senior Mitchel Dunham and junior Frank Bero will represent Boardman High School at the OHSAA State Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 2.

 

Dunham is making his second consecutive appearance at the state meet and has placed first this season at The OHSAA Northeast District Championship, AAC Championship, Kenston Invitational, Green Invitational, and Kent State Trumbull Invitational. He has earned 1st Team All County, 1st Team All AAC, 1st Team All District, and 1st Team All Region so far this fall. This season Mitchel became the second fastest Spartan in school history by running a 5k in 15:30.

 

Bero is making his first appearance at the state meet and has placed first at The Mahoning County Championship and Madison Invitational. He has earned 1st Team All County, 1st Team All AAC, 1st Team All District, and Honorable Mention All Region so far this fall. This season Frank became the 13th fastest Spartan in school history by running a 5k in 16:06.

 

Both athletes will race Saturday at 3pm at National Trail Raceway in Hebron.
