BGJHS Families,

As we navigate the challenges of COVID 19, I wanted to help assist you in trying to understand and facilitate the next 3 weeks. Please understand that this is a flexible situation and the message that may be given today could change tomorrow due to state requirements and unforeseen challenges. I want to say thank you in advance for your flexibility during these uncharted times.

The Schools Schedule at this time is as follows.

Mondays:

  • BGJHS will be open from 8 am - 7 pm

    • This will be for any individuals that need to pick up work or drop off work (Note this will be a very small group of students and parents as the overwhelming majority will be using Google Classroom. The students in this small group will receive a personal phone call from the school.

Tuesday - Friday:

  • Admin will be in the building from 8 am - 2 pm

What do I do if I need help with classes?

  • The teachers will be available via email Monday - Friday from 8:20 am - 3:43 pm.

    • Please use email as your primary mode of communication.

    • If you need to talk to a teacher. Email them and ask them to call.

    • Please email a name, number, and reason for needing the conversation.

    • If you do not have an email call the school and the school will reach out to the teacher.

I do not know how to get on to Google or my Google class code?

  • Please visit the BGJHS website for instructions on how to log on google classrooms and to find your Class code.

    • This information will be posted under school links

      • Go to Boardman Local School

      • Click on building Boardman Glenwood

      • On the right-hand side click School Links

Student accountability and expectation:

  • Students are expected to log in to their Google Classroom every day and meet the expectation and deadlines for assignments.

  •  The small group of students that are using packets will need to follow the deadline set on the packet.

We will all work through these difficult times together and will persevere as a Spartan family. Once again thank you for your understanding and flexibility during these constantly changing times.

I wish everyone good health and hope to see the students back at school in the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Principal Bart Smith
