National Blue Ribbon Schools Award
The U.S. Department of Education announced on September 19, that Robinwood Lane Elementary is a 2023 National Blue Ribbon Schools Award winner.
Robinwood is one of only 353 schools nationwide, selected for this prestigious honor. They were awarded as an Exemplary High Performing School of Excellence.
The Education Department recognizes all schools in one of two performance categories, based on all student scores, subgroup student scores and graduation rates:
- Exemplary High Performing Schools are among their state’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.
- Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing Schools are among their state’s highest performing schools in closing achievement gaps between a school’s student groups and all students.
Robinwood Lane Elementary was recognized as an Exemplary High Performing School.
Principal Billie Jo Johnson along with Superintendent Saxton are invited to the official awards ceremony in Washington DC on November 16 and 17, 2023.
