Boardman High School is proud to welcome runners, coaches, families and fans from across the region for the 41st Annual Spartan Invitational on Saturday, September 19, at the Boardman High School Cross Country Course.
One of the area’s premier cross country events, the Spartan Invitational is one of the largest in the Midwest. This year’s meet is expected to welcome more than 200 schools and approximately 5000 runners, bringing an estimated 20,000 fans to the Boardman community throughout the day.
The Spartan Invitational provides an exciting opportunity for athletes of all ages and abilities to compete on the challenging Boardman course, also the site for the Northeast Ohio Regional Championships, while showcasing the strength of high school cross country in the region.
Race Schedule
Boardman Local Schools athletes will take the course throughout the afternoon. The schedule for Spartan runners is:
2:30 p.m. — Boardman High School Girls – Division II
3:00 p.m. — Boardman High School Boys – Division II
4:10 p.m. — Boardman Glenwood Junior High School Girls
4:30 p.m. — Boardman Glenwood Junior High School Boys
With thousands of athletes and fans expected on campus, the Spartan Invitational promises to be an exciting day of competition and community spirit.
