Eight third graders at West Elementary got an unexpected surprise during the final days of school. After being called out of class, some students thought they might be in trouble — but instead, they were greeted by Superintendent Chris Neifer, Mr. Cardillo, and members of the Boardman Board of Education holding special certificates.

The students were recognized for earning perfect scores on this year’s state math assessment — an outstanding accomplishment that reflects their hard work and dedication throughout the school year.

Congratulations to Jensen, Emilia, Subhan, Jack, Kevin, Connor, Steve, and Charley on this incredible achievement!
