Stadium Drive Elementary School is celebrating a big win for student readers after being selected as one of eight schools across Ohio to receive the Lots of Literacy Award from the Ohio Lottery.
As part of the award, Stadium Drive was randomly chosen from schools across the state to support the Governor’s Literacy Initiative. Each selected school receives a $500 gift card from Barnes & Noble to enhance its library collection and encourage a love of reading among students.
Stadium Drive’s librarian, Elizabeth Murphy, accepted the award on behalf of the school. Along with the gift card, the library also received two large bean bag chairs, creating a cozy reading space for students.
The recognition highlights Stadium Drive’s ongoing commitment to fostering literacy and ensuring students have access to engaging and meaningful reading opportunities.
