Four Boardman Spartans received a special and unforgettable honor during Glenwood Junior High’s trip to Arlington National Cemetery.
Students Victoria May, Isabella Slick, Gi'Mani Womack, and Logan Bartholomew were selected to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, taking part in one of the most solemn traditions in the nation.
More than 170 Glenwood Junior High School students watched the ceremony, an experience many will remember for the rest of their lives. The moment was a meaningful highlight of an educational and memorable weekend in Washington, where students explored the history of the nation’s capital alongside their classmates and teachers.
The wreath-laying ceremony offered students a powerful lesson in service, sacrifice, and respect — and provided four Spartans with an honor they will carry with them for years to come.
