Boardman Center Intermediate School is grateful for the support of Walmart and the local Boardman store team.
On May 5, Boardman Walmart Store Manager Taylor Baylog and members of his team visited Boardman Center Intermediate School to present a $1,500 Walmart Community Grant to Principal DeAngelo.
The grant will directly benefit students by helping support activities in the school’s Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Center. The funding will also help keep BCIS’s Care Closet and Food Pantry stocked so students and families have access to essential items throughout the school year.
Principal DeAngelo accepted the donation alongside school counselors Maggie Burton and Kendra Baltes.
Boardman Schools appreciates Walmart’s continued investment in students and families. Community partnerships like this help strengthen the support systems that allow students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
