Nearly 400 students and staff at Stadium Drive Elementary gathered for the school’s annual Patriot Day ceremony and tree planting, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The annual tradition honors those who lost their lives and recognizes the courage and sacrifice of first responders. The tree planting serves as a lasting symbol of remembrance, hope and unity. Principal Zoccali talked about always looking to the helpers, and to say thank you to our first responders, today, and everyday.
The ceremony gave students an opportunity to reflect on the importance of honoring the past and remembering the message: Never Forget.
