Teaching is truly a calling, and it takes extraordinary individuals to dedicate their lives to fostering the education, growth, and well-being of future generations. We are so fortunate to have such passionate, caring, and committed educators guiding our students every single day. We are proud to call Boardman teachers our own.
As we recognize Teacher Appreciation Day in Ohio today, we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our educators all week long and the lasting impact they make.
A special thank you to our amazing PTAs for spoiling our teachers this week. Your generosity, time, and support mean so much. The families of Boardman continue to show what makes this community so special, and we are grateful for your partnership in keeping our schools strong and our relationships even stronger.

From the first smile in the morning to the final drop-off at home, our bus drivers are truly the bookends to a successful school day. They go above and beyond to ensure our students arrive safely, feel welcomed, and are cared for every step of the way.
We are blessed with the best! Join us in thanking our amazing transportation staff and help them feel the love today! 👏

Every day, our school lunch heroes go above and beyond to serve nutritious and tasty meals with a smile. Their hard work, dedication, and care do not go unnoticed—they are an essential part of our school community.
To show our appreciation, members of our Central Office team visited each cafeteria across all six of our buildings today to personally say “thank you” for all they do.
Not just today, but every single day, we thank you for keeping our students fueled, supported, and ready to learn! 💚🍎

As part of the opening, Burlington and Adopt a Classroom made a $5,000 Donation for West Boulevard. Each teacher will receive a portion of funds in their adopt a classroom account to fill classroom needs.
A big THANK YOU to Burlington, for this generous donation to West Boulevard for our students and staff!

Boardman built a 7–5 halftime lead, but Mooney battled back to take a 9–8 advantage in the fourth quarter. The Spartans responded with composure on both ends of the field, proving that their teamwork was the ultimate difference-maker.
Ava Gaps led the offense with five goals, followed by Carly Albanese and Val Hoysack with two each, and Lydia Kenney adding one. Defensively, Catherine Lorenzi came up with two key stops in the final four minutes to preserve the 10–9 lead.
It was a physical, high-energy contest, with contributions across the board helping secure the win. Boardman’s determination ultimately allowed them to hold off Mooney and come away victorious.
The Spartans will be back in action on the road against Kent Roosevelt.

A high-flying day for Boardman High School students at the Drone Showcase!
Students from the BHS Drone Program spent the day at Williamson Airfield, joining peers from 10 area schools for hands-on flight experience and career exploration.
They had the chance to pilot drones, connect with industry professionals, and ask questions about future opportunities. Students flew drones with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department and First Choice Drone Company, and also spoke with representatives from the U.S. Air Force about careers in aviation and technology.
Real-world learning in action—and the future is looking up!

Students Menah Alemaishat, Madison Kromer, Lanie Joyce, Savannah Cohn, Payton Konnerth, and Julianna Davis, under the guidance of advisor Kate Burnside, worked together to honor the past while leaving their own creative mark for the future.

Today, kindergarten and the 3rd graders learned about all the bees that make up a colony, from the queen and drone, to the worker bees. Then they closely examined a real life hive looking for the queen.
Tomorrow, 1st and 2nd grade will enjoy the lesson

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and communities across the country plant Pinwheel Gardens to raise awareness and show support for children and families. Each pinwheel represents someone in our community who has advocated for a child facing abuse or neglect 💙
